For a sec, I forgot we grew up

So Im definitely waiting to hear how everyone's first few weeks of school went.

It's weird, because I know that BASIS already started like 2 weeks ago, but I feel like we just start at a later time, but we're still supposed to go back at some point, and that college is just kind of a side thing to do in the mean time.

A couple of my classes are in the auditoriums that we had language fair in, and everytime I'm there, I remember stupid little lines from our spanish skits, and it makes me wish that we still did language fair with Senora. I'd agree to doing spanish again at BASIS if it meant spending a good half of the yr working on a 5 minute skit.

I miss you guys already, and it's still only my first week of non-basis school. But if I had to choose between my english 101 and english with Mrs. Toews and Ethan Frome's pickle dish, I'd choose the pickle dish.....and the "stuff."

With complete adoration for the '10 class

  1. Thats how I feel, it doesn't help that we talk to McGarvey at least every other day. I do like the giant lectures though it makes everything seem more real.

Hope you all are loving where you've ended up.

  2. Aww Tini!!! I feel like college is only temporary too! I got matriculated tonight and it still doesn't really make sense to me that this is my new school... I'm really having a lot of fun, though, the teacher of the really difficult English class I'm taking reminds me SOOO much of Ms. Toews (only she cusses quite a bit more). I've only had two days of school so far but I've already got a decently sized list of the hilarious one-liners she says (like cody does when everyone gets intoxicated). I don't really have one group of friends that I hang out with yet but I've got quite a few people that I talk to on a regular basis but I miss you guys tons! My roommate hardly speaks any english (she's muttering in Japanese as we speak) but I adore her because she's a doorbell (adorable) and foreign! How're you guys doin with meeting new people? I know it's not something the BASIS kid has to do very often...Does everyone like their roommates and classes?
