Dancing, Driving and Dreams

After dancing the night away, and driving for seven hours I have finally arrived in California. I immediately started my internship, and have been working non-stop since then, thus why I am posting two days later.
My first night at Brainhighways was informative, I helped out with three classes: 4-6 year olds, 10-13 and finally the community drop-in. I noticed that the younger kids seem much less affected by developmental setbacks, whereas with the older kids it is immediately apparent. The older kids almost all had at least one article of clothing turned in-side out, which is a sign associated with Neurodevelopmental (ND) issues. Overall the session were very low key, which was a blessing because they made it clear it would rarely be this way.
Now that I have some training I will be able to actually run one of the three stations that are set up every class. So next week's post will be more detailed.
Otherwise nothing too exciting is happening besides driving to LA on the I-5 (if anyone as a less scary route between San Diego and LA please let me know). I'm mainly doing a lot of reading, but more on that later.
