So I just got back from the final performance of Between Pancho Villa and a Naked Woman. The cast is probably still enjoying their well-deserved pizza (I did not stay for the pizza because I thought I should blog quickly before trooping off to my other theater) and Eva seems to be very pleased with the evolution of the play. I emailed Eva about having an interview with her sometime this week and she will hopefully get back to me about that soon ( I would have talked to her about it today but she always seems so busy!). Also she has previously promised me work of some kind after the play is over and I am eager to hear what exactly I will be doing to help her prepare for her next play.
This week at Live Theatre, Deborah was on vacation so the choreographers and musical director worked on the musical numbers with the cast and I believe there is only one number that still needs to be choreographed. Then the cast was supposed run through the first few scenes of the play and integrate the songs. The musical director/producer and one of the adult actresses changed quite a bit of the blocking of the first three scenes so I am interested to see how Deborah will respond (will she be offended, delighted, or ok with it?) when she gets back. Well, I guess that's it, I'll let you know if I manage to get a hold of Eva this week!
